Overall aerial imagery is taken with satellite to help identify early crop stress areas (if any). The normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) is a simple graphical indicator that shows pixels containing live green vegetation (“healthy”) areas or not. Healthy vegetation (chlorophyll) absorbs more red and blue light and in return reflect a green light on the image. NDVI’s are normally used to monitor plant stress variation during the growing season. This tool are suitable for most crops.
